A JSC ?AZOT? which is in Cherkasy city is one of the leading chemical enterprises of Ukraine holding ОSТСНЕМ (it unites enterprises of the nitric chemistry Group DF). In particular, it is the monopolist in Ukraine in production of caprolactam (the raw material for production of polyamide), occupies the first place on production CAS - 72%, is the leader in the production of ammonium nitrate - 34% of the national volume, produces a significant amount of ammonia - 17% and carbamide - 22%, provides domestic enterprises with carbon dioxide. The company supplies fertilizer, mainly to central regions of Ukraine. Part of the ?Azot? production is exported.

A new stage of the enterprise development has started after it accession to holding ОSТСНЕМ in 2011. Vitaliy Leonidovich Sklyarov who has been the technical director since 2002 was appointed as Chairman of the Board of JSC ?AZOT?. His professional skills and purposefulness as the head were highly appreciated at the national level - in the national program ?A person of the year? Vitaly Leonidovich won in the category ?The Industrialist of the year?. Under his leadership the company carried out a number of large-scale projects, among which, in particular, was a full workshop reconstruction of ammonia production. The project cost almost $ 60 million and has allowed not only to increase the daily capacity of the plant from 1450 to 1700 tons, but also to considerably reduce the use of natural gas, which is a major component in the cost of the enterprise production. Energy saving projects has been also implemented in the shop. Now it is the only way for chemical enterprises of Ukraine to survive in a difficult economic situation.

The next step in the plane of the reconstruction work in the shop is production of carbamide. Here were also carried out some measures on energy saving and increase of daily production from 1150 to 1500 tons. During the work in the shop CAP the production of carbamide-ammonia mix was increased from 600 to 1500 tons per day. Thus, at present the enterprise is the largest manufacturer of these rare fertilizers in Ukraine. For their storage facilities old chemical storage has been reconstructed making it possible to accumulate the product in the offseason. Indeed, in the autumn spring seasons farmer`s daily need in this fertilizer is more than the factory can let out. Due to such accumulation it was managed to meet all customer needs, as well as to increase sales. Besides, if earlier, this mix has been as export oriented product, now it is mostly bought by domestic farmers - 100% of the product is shipped to the market of Ukraine.

During the last twelve years at the enterprise is conducted the work directed both on the reconstruction of workshops in general and on renewal of some production unites and aggregates. In addition, considerable attention is paid to the reconstruction and improvement of management systems for production. To do this, a distribution management system in the workshops of ammonia, caprolactam, urea, nitric acid and ion-exchange resins were established. Chemical production, as is known, calls for special measures to minimize environmental impact. The major emphasis is given to such projects at the ?Azot?. In particular, here have been reconstructed for the second time all water cycles.. Besides, all activities connected with reconstruction, are simultaneously environmental. For example, in the process of the reconstruction of production facilities were reconstructed also treatment facilities, as well as in the work shop of ammonium nitrate. The enterprise is certificated on system of quality management and environmental protection and performs all the duties assigned to it and norms, which confirms the regular recertification of international auditors.

?We have many plans and projects, I would like to realize," says Vitaly Leonidovich, - would it be the means and opportunities. In particular, it is suggested to develop further processing caprolactam as one of the ideas for the reconstruction of organic wings. As for Inorganics, it is building a new plant for production of ammonia, as the company approaches its 50th anniversary, and to reconstruct the workshop becomes less profitable than building new ones. We plan to continue to implement energy saving technologies. Science is developing and each year it offers new technical solutions, interesting for our company?.

Also ?Azot? from Cherkassy is engaged in various social projects. In particular, it was reconstructed the city?s largest park ?Friendship of people?. In its restoration and development of the surrounding area was invested about 60 million UAH. In addition, hostels and household premises of the enterprise were renewed. Besides, the plant took under patronage 10 schools, for repair and equipment were spent about 1 million UAH in 2013. Considerable attention at the ?Azot?, like at other enterprises of holding ОSТСНЕМ, is paid to a great variety of sport and cultural events that are held within the community, and between the groups. This year at the level of the holding company held contests ?ОSТСНЕМ sings?, ?ОSТСНЕМ dances?, ?OSTCHEM lights stars?, games, competitions, festivals both for adults and for children.
