Mykola VASYLCHENKO: only an ukrainian investor is the real master of his land
The events of recent weeks have clearly demonstrated the aspirations of European integration to be a considerable part of Ukrainian society. However, reasonable thinking people caution against too hasty decisions. In the opinion of many Ukrainian businessmen, among whom, the Hero of Ukraine Mykola Vasylchenko, who is the head of one of the leading agricultural formations in the country, we must go to Europe not with an outstretched hand, but on a parity basis, as an equal partner. Therefore, we should first ?build Europe? in Ukraine.? 000000005

And the words of Nikolay Semenovich do not disagree with business, preserving the heritage of the Soviet time, in Pischaniy the farm was not ruined, the animal husbandry was not slaughtered; the masters made the farm modern and proved that the European level of management in Ukraine is not only possible, but also is profitable. And this is despite the fact that 80% of milk in Ukraine is from the private sector which does not meet quality indicators necessary for the production of milk products the highest class.
In the farms of ?Mayak?, equipped with the latest technology, there are 3000 heads of cattle including 1,000 milk cows, 18 000 pigs disposable production. Here they have thought of everything to the last detail. For example, milking parlor is equipped with heated floors and columns through which to cows broadcast music concerts. Now the company employs 260 people, this is where there used to be before only over a thousand. Attraction of modern equipment and technologies allow automating production processes both in animal husbandry and crop production. In the farm there is a task to create a team of specialists, who, if necessary, can substitute each other and not allow interrupting the production process. ?To work effectively, we must create a system, says Nikolai Semenovich, " and it is the task of a leader?.
Animals are kept free with the maximum comfort for them, what is in the combination with a great selection and a well-balanced feed allows reaching a record high (more than 8000 kg per cow) milk yield and extremely high quality milk of extra-class.
And 80 beehives promote productivity of agricultural crops and provide shareholders and residents of villages with high quality honey.
Another sector in the structure of agriculture is crop production which provides not only the state with bread, but also the cattle farms with fodder. Mykola Vasylchenko in Soviet times found out an effective power-saving way to store grain for cattle fattening in special pits already crushed and strongly stamped almost pressed. Thus, it blocked the access of oxygen and the product retained its properties for a whole year.
In the farm was built grain drying complex with a capacity of 20 thousand tons by the company RIELA. Experience of Mykola Semenovich proves that in Ukraine the production of milk and meat of the European quality is possible, and animal husbandry is not loss-making, and all these were achieved neither with loans nor with the help of investors. Besides, this sector is diversifying risks from failures in the field of crop production, if is any, it allows supporting the fertile local soils not only with chemical fertilizers, but also with organic matter which is on 1 ha of arable land made for 9 tons and provides jobs for local residents all year round, and therefore prolongs the life of the village.
According to Mykola Vasylchenko, to release the product, competitive in the European market, it requires not only quality, but it is also necessary to reduce the cost, including at the expense of energy-saving technologies.
And the words of the manager do not disagree with the business ? at the farm they not only insulated all that was needed, but also partially abandoned gas as energy source, they installed pyrolysis boilers on the wood that allow maintaining the temperature for the pig complex. Firewood is prepared resulting in the proper condition of the forest belt.
Also in the engine yard works an economy boiler on the straw and it provides heat for a repair shop, a dining room and a hostel for workers.
Managers never forget about the needs of the collective. High wages and decent working conditions are supplemented by the attitude of the head of the group, as one family. In the household they care also on provision of housing to young specialists, who are quite numerous here, because the average age of employees is 38 years.
In the village functions a fitness center, 4 folk groups (chorus, dance, theatre of small forms, brass), 24 hobby groups, folk Museum.
Fathers business is kept by his son Olexiy, daughter Tatiana and son-in-law Igor, who were not only watching since childhood their father working, gaining experience, but they themselves have desire to work on the land. So, under the management of good masters such villages as Pischane, Sofievka, Kovraisky hamlets are provided with work and confidence in the future, and Ukraine has the production of real European quality, capable to compete with the best world producers.
